As we expand our market presence, we are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven sales executive on a commission-only basis.

 

Summary:

The Sales Executive will play a crucial role in driving the growth and expansion of our business. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and closing sales to achieve revenue targets. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a passion for sales and a proven track record of success in business development.

ABOUT THE JOB:​​

  • Identify and target potential clients and business opportunities within the wholesale (B2B) sector through networking and online research.

  • Plan and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.

  • Build a deep understanding of our products and present them effectively to clients. 

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.

  • Present and promote the company's products/services to prospective clients.

  • Negotiate and close deals to meet or exceed monthly sales targets.

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in the CRM database.

  • Provide regular feedback and reports on sales performance.

ABOUT YOU:​

  • Experience in business development, sales, or a similar role, in the wholesale B2B industry.

  • Strong understanding of B2B market dynamics and customer needs.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with a strong drive to achieve targets.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

  • High level of professionalism and integrity.

Working closely with skilled women artisans in rural communities, we create home accessories and fashion pieces using locally sourced rattan. Our mission is to share Cambodia’s rich weaving traditions with the world, while empowering rural Cambodian women with a sustainable income and brighter future. MANAVA was founded by Ka-Lai Chan (*1985, NL), a product designer with over 15 years of experience. She has worked with renowned international design brands, as well as hotels and museums.

PRODUCT/FASHION DESIGN INTERN

As we expand our market presence, we are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven sales executive on a commission-only basis.

 

Summary:

MANAVA is looking for a Product/Fashion Design Intern/Volunteer to join our team in Cambodia for a period of 3-4 months. You will assist with design of our hand-woven rattan bags and baskets, and our day to day activities, such as quality control, graphic design work and packing orders. He/She will gain an invaluable experience with the logistics of running a start-up artisan brand in a developing country, while learning about the fields of sustainable design, production, marketing and international development. Having the possibility to work together with rural female artisans and help support them with a sustainable future.

ABOUT THE JOB:​​

  • Contribute in the design and development, researching materials and production (weaving) techniques, identifying key trends, creating innovative ideas

  • Collaborate on conceptualizing new product lines and seasonal collections

  • Finalize new product lines and seasonal collections, ensuring designs are ready for production 

  • Sourcing different materials to finish a product

  • Designing promotional (print) media

  • Take part in all social media management, including product photoshoots, content creation

ABOUT YOU:​

  • Product/Fashion/Graphic Design Student/Graduate with at least 3 years of design study

  • Knowledge and passion for contemporary (fashion) design, trends, craftsmanship and branding

  • Experience in computer programs; Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Word, Excel, Solid Works

  • Excellent command of the English language

  • Strong organizational skills, project management and attention to detail

  • Working independent and willingness to pitch in when needed

  • Ability to adapt to new cultures and simple living conditions

  • Professional, honest and reliable independence, as you will get the guidance you want and need but will be given space to do your work independently

We offer a contribution toward accommodation and visa costs. Please note that this may not fully cover accommodation costs. Flights and other personal costs would need to be covered by the intern/volunteer.
